4 steps to connect the dots
APRIL 22, 2014
Do you think we ask too many questions? You can connect the dots retrospectively, take the experience and the learning, and sooner or later you’ll have to trust your gut!
“You cant connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever.” Steve Jobs.
1. Don’t try and do it all by yourself
Use your skills and utilise the skills of the people around you. Time leverage is critical so take the help that is all around you.
2. Don’t get overwhelmed
Be clear and clearly define the purpose and the questions you want to answer. Be clear on what you want to achieve, have a plan and keep on purpose.
3. Take action
Don’t procrastinate, don’t over think it JFDI – just do it. Trust your gut feel.
4. Do follow up
Love the old adage the “fortune is in the follow-up”. Learn to be a “completer finisher” and follow-up everyone and everything. You never know what you yet have to learn.
